The definition of “map” is not sharp; some artifacts speculated to be maps might actually be something else, e.g.: nautical charts, scaffolding, orchestral seating, neatline borders, compass roses, bitter rivers, islands, meanderings, circular landmasses, nameless cities, Babylon.
